ABOUT
Michelle
The writing landscape has clearly changed. My tagline used to be clear, concise, and compelling. While that’s still important, authentic and genuine are even more important. I also used to love em dashes, but real writers can’t use those anymore!
Before launching my own writing business, I spent 20+ years in corporate America in marketing, sales, and customer success leadership roles. I never had a “writing” role, but business writing always came easily to me. With this unique background, I can help entrepreneurs and business leaders really think through their strategic objectives and how to tell their stories with the right words.
I’ve embraced AI, and it’s clearly only going to get better and better. But we all know human oversight is critical. AI’s initial output often looks good, and it’s tempting to use it as-is, but when you dig into it, it’s often shallow, jargony, and repetitive.
I can help you leverage AI while still ensuring you sound like you. Your customers need and deserve human, authentic, and genuine content.
What am I doing when I’m not writing? Enjoying anything outdoors, travel blogging, planning national park adventures, hanging with my son, and watching Duke basketball (undergrad) or Michigan football (MBA). And yes, I will still work with Carolina and Ohio State fans. A good rivalry pushes all of us to do great things!
“Words are, in my not-so-humble opinion, our most inexhaustible source of magic.”
– Albus Dumbledore from Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, J. K. Rowling
